The vinyl fabric on your tonneau cover can be cleaned with mild soap and water, and may be hand washed or safely cleaned in the car wash of your choice. Thoroughly rinse cover to remove any soap residue. Vinyl cover can be treated with any vinyl protectants made for tonneau covers. Never clean cover with petroleum or citrus-based products, and avoid silicone based protectants. We now offer Pro-Tex soft tonneau protectant spray to clean, preserve and protect your soft tonneau.

Q: How do I adjust the tension on my tonneau cover?

The TruXedo® Deuce tonneau cover has automatic tension control. The exclusive hinge design has a built-in automatic tension control device that separates and lifts the fabric to avoid pinch and wear. Refer to the TruXedo® Deuce Owner’s Manual for more specific information.

When the locking mechanism is used and the latch at the front of the bed is secured, the latch can only be unlocked by rolling the cover all the way open and releasing the locking mechanism.

The tonneau cover fabric will not shrink in cold temperatures, to –40 degrees F. Q: Will the TruXedo® Deuce work with my in-box toolbox or other in-box cargo management systems?

With the wide variety of toolboxes and cargo management systems available, this will vary by application. Here are some guidelines to follow to help you – The top of the toolbox or cargo management system must be ½” below the top of the pickup bed. The toolbox length must also be a minimum of 7” shorter than the width of the inside front of the pickup bed. Subtracting 7” allows the toolbox to be opened when the cover is rolled completely open. When the cover is flipped open, the length of the opening from the front of the bed to the hinge is 29”. The toolbox should be spaced 3-4” away from the front of the pickup bed so it does not interfere with the latch.

Q: Why is there a hole punched on the rear of the passenger side rail of theTruXedo® Deuce, but no latch present?

The reason the rails are all punched the same way is to keep them uniform, for manufacturing efficiency and to reduce tooling costs. By doing this, we are able to keep manufacturing time down to get you your orders faster and also to keep the price of our products lower.
